Since I have an older iPad model I don’t want to over heat it with large file size and lots of layers so I just stick to this file size for drawing webtoons on my tablet. Now when I’m drawing my webtoon on my iPad Pro 10” with ibispaint I have the canva size 1600 pixels wide and 2400 pixels high. So if you don’t want to end up like me and have to draw your webtoon all over from scratch because you drew in a small canva size then I recommend having your file size 1600 pixels wide~ 2. When I was first starting out I noticed that my webtoon looked super blurry and I found that usually it was because I was drawing in a small canva size of 800 px by 1280 px. The size that I draw my webtoon in is basically double the upload size (800px wide by 1280 px high) of LINE webtoon Canva Platform since I post on their platform as well as on my website. The reason why I draw my webtoon with that doubled canva size is because this helps me fix the blurry line issue that usually happens to when I’m drawing in the 800 pixels wide to 1280 pixels high canva size. Some artist work in one long vertical strip file but I like to work in multiple shorter vertical file batches. The Webtoon Canva size that I make my webtoon within Clip Studio Paint is 1600 pixels wide and 4800 pixels high and I usually like to stick to just drawing 2-3 panels per file. Now if you don’t have Clip Studio Paint no worries because Krita, Medibang Paint, and ibispaint also have these same or similar tools and these programs are also free~ 1. Word Balloons – I get too hyper focused on making the word ballon circle perfect so I just use the pre-made ones.Text tool – Adding the speech because I don’t want to draw the dialogue by hand.Panel Layer – For making the comic boxes around my art.Ink pen – The G pen is my go to default to use for inking and coloring. ![]() ![]()
